What a sweet cottage. Tucked away on a very quiet street, but steps from the life of Dorobanti and the cultural heart of the city stands this pretty cottage with a feeling of England about it (best way I can describe it!). Has a seating area outside under a canopy of grapes and rambling rose that protects you from the heat of the mid-day and lets you both concentrate or daydream depending on your mood. Livingroom is bathed in soft light which reflects gently of the ancient oak flooring and tall ceilings. Kitchen won`t win any design house wards, but it works and it`s bigger than you would think for a cottage. Bathroom on the ground floor. Two bedrooms upstairs share a bathroom. Another bedroom and bathroom in the loft. Parking on the street in front of the house. Cottage also enjoys a basement, which was something of a surprise, with several rooms and even a full bathroom. Basement is naturaly ventilated with windows. A man could be happy here. Quiet street with little if any passing traffic, but despite this, has a nice pub with outdoor seating down the street not far. You can also walk into Dorobanti easily as well as the subway station which is about two or maybe three blocks away. My husbands favorite German restaurant is about two blocks from the house. Hard to believe your in the heart of the city siting out in the garden? All I could hear were some doves.
